Air Conditioning
Looking for home Air Conditioning?
We install, service and repair different types of home Air Conditioning, including Cooling-Only (such as Evaporative Cooling or Add On Cooling) and Heating and Cooling systems (such as Split System Air Conditioning and Ducted Reverse Cycle Air Conditioning).
Split System Air Conditioner
Split systems are wall-hung reverse cycle air conditioners which both heat and cool a room or area.
Designed from 2.5kw up to 8.0kW, reverse cycle split systems are ideal for small to large open plan areas.
Maintenance is also a breeze with the indoor filters designed for user-friendly access, saving you time and money.
Equipped to meet the demand of modern lifestyles, features can include Wi-Fi control, timer functions, sleep mode and dry mode (which acts as a dehumidifier) amongst a host of other practical operations.
There are different brands of split systems to meet different budgets and customer needs. We recommend Mitsubishi, Rinnai, Daikin, Fujitsu and Actron.
Our most popular brand is the Rinnai T Series Reverse Cycle Split System. Rinnai split system units are quiet, non-obtrusive streamlined units. They are the only brand to feature WIFI as a standard inclusion and are very well priced.
Evaporative Cooling
Evaporative cooling is a popular climate system in Victoria due to the states dry hot climate in summer. It works by drawing outside warm air through wet honeycomb pads creating an evaporative effect before distributing cooler air into your home via ducting.
They are a tried-and-tested system, with brands such as Brivis Evaporative Coolers a popular choice due to their reputation of durability and reliability.
At gasman we recommend servicing your system at least every second year. The main unit is exposed to harsh conditions all year round causing dust and sludge to build up on filter pads so it is important to have your system serviced regularly by a professional and your evaporative cooler will benefit from regular maintenance and servicing. Faulty capacitors, fan motors, solenoids, dump valves and pumps all need replacing when faulty.

Refrigerated Add On Cooling
An effective alternative to evaporative cooling is ducted refrigerated air conditioning. It cools the air via a heat exchange utilising a refrigerant gas to cool the air. This type of climate control is very popular in humid or summer hot areas of Australia as you can set a precise temperature and its not affected by humidity.
It is called Add On Cooling because, in order to operate, it must be connected to your existing gas central heating system. Combined, this gives you Gas Ducted Heating and Refrigerated Cooling.
If you already have an Add On Cooler and Gas Ducted Heater, there is now a product from Brivis called SmartSens which also give you the option of using this system to generate Electric Ducted Heating. That means you can choose between Gas Ducted Heating, Electric Ducted Heating and Refrigerated Ducted Cooling. For more info on Brivis SmartSens, contact our partner company Martin Heating & Cooling.
Gasman are the Seeley International authorised agents for service and repair for air conditioning and our technicians are highly trained and qualified to supply and install all major brands such as: Brivis ICE, Braemar, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu and Daikin units.
Ducted Reverse Cycle Air Conditioning
Ducted reverse cycle air conditioners also utilise refrigerated air conditioning technology, but can also be reversed to incorporate heating during winter, providing both electric ducted heating and cooling.
As it runs on electricity, it is becoming ever popular with household solar panels being installed.
